Crush Fabric

Crush Steel is a softly crinkled plain in a cool steel grey, with a gently rumpled surface that catches the light in irregular highlights. The finish reads understated and contemporary rather than shiny or flat.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% polyester, Crush Steel offers a hard-working 100,000 Martindale rub test and a generous 290 cm width, making it well suited to broad curtain drops and bedspread use. The plain pattern lets the fabric’s crushed texture do the work, creating a mottled, lived-in surface rather than a smooth solid. In this colourway the grey sits on the cooler side, with smoky mid-tones and deeper charcoal shadows that give the cloth depth. The overall effect is smart, restrained and slightly industrial, with light catching the creases to soften the steel tone.

How to use it

Use Crush Steel for full-length curtains, bed valances or simple upholstered accents where a cool grey finish will anchor the room. It pairs especially well with crisp white, blackened metal and pale timber.

A cool, versatile grey that brings a tailored feel to curtains or soft furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
