About this fabric

This colourway reads as a near-solid jet black, with the crushed finish creating faint highlights and shadow across the surface rather than a flat matte look. Made from 100% polyester, it offers a practical handle and a reassuring 100,000 Martindale rub test, making it suitable for demanding decorative use. The 290 cm width is especially useful for wide drops and larger-scale soft furnishings, and the plain pattern keeps the focus on the texture and depth of the black tone. It is specified for bedspreads and curtaining, and the dark finish brings a crisp, tailored mood to interior schemes.

How to use it

Use it for floor-length curtains, blackout-style layering, or a tailored bedspread where you want a strong, dramatic anchor. The deep black works well against pale walls, brushed metals, and warm timber for contrast.

A dramatic near-black cloth for sleek curtains or statement upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
