BW1023 Black/White

Black and White FabricCCF0114-01

BW1023 Black/White presents a densely drawn damask in crisp black and warm white, with scrolling forms packed across the surface. The textured weave softens the contrast slightly, giving the monochrome colourway visual depth rather than a flat graphic effect.

About this fabric

The design is built from symmetrical scrolls, curling leaves and small ornamental flourishes, repeated in a compact, richly detailed arrangement. Deep black motifs sit against a warm white ground, creating a cool, high-contrast look with an established formal character. At 422gsm, this is a substantial textile suited to upholstery, while its 140cm usable width allows practical coverage. The pattern has a 60.7cm vertical repeat and 35cm horizontal repeat, so careful matching will preserve the damask’s balanced rhythm across a project.

How to use it

Use the black and warm white palette on a statement armchair, headboard or dining seat, balancing its ornate pattern with plain warm-white textiles and dark timber. Its strong contrast also suits a monochrome room where the damask can provide the main decorative focus.

Use this high-contrast damask to give upholstered seating a sharply tailored, monochrome finish.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside BW1023 Black/White without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
