About this fabric

The muted taupe ground gives this design a calm, enveloping character, while the slightly lighter and darker woven details define its organic paisley-like forms. Its pattern is clearly visible at close range but remains softened by the tonal palette rather than appearing sharply contrasted. Across the folds, the fabric shows a supple drape and a subtly textured face, making it visually suited to both upholstered pieces and window treatments. The warm neutral tone would sit comfortably with natural woods, creams and deeper taupes.

How to use it

Use Orient Quaker to bring gentle movement to a taupe or cream scheme: it would work well on a relaxed occasional chair, headboard or full-length curtains. Pair its warm beige undertone with walnut, linen and softly aged metallic finishes.

A softly textured taupe jacquard-style fabric that brings quiet pattern and warmth to upholstery or drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
