Petronella Cornsilk

Petronella Fabric

Petronella Cornsilk combines a softly warm corn-silk ground with detailed navy linework, including paisley forms, leaves, seed pods and stylised flowers. The pale base keeps the dense pattern light and airy rather than heavily coloured.

About this fabric

The design is clearly visible across the folded surface, with curling paisleys interwoven with botanical sprays and outlined in a deep blue-grey navy. Its warm beige-cream ground has a muted, gently chalky appearance, while the folds reveal a soft surface with enough body to hold the drawn motifs. The contrast is defined but not stark, giving this colourway a quieter, timeworn character than a brighter blue-and-white scheme. No further specification data is supplied for this colourway.

How to use it

Use the warm corn-silk base to soften navy cabinetry, painted furniture or deeper blue upholstery, or carry the botanical pattern through cushions and a relaxed Roman blind. Brass, aged timber and natural woven accents will reinforce its mellow traditional tone.

A warm cream ground and finely drawn navy botanicals bring traditional character to upholstery, cushions and relaxed window treatments.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Petronella Cornsilk without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
