Riverhead Fabric

Riverhead Kelp is a muted olive- khaki fabric patterned with pale, vertically undulating lines. Its softly textured ground gives the colourway a grounded depth, while the light motif keeps the design open and rhythmic.

About this fabric

The swatch shows a subdued kelp-olive ground with a warm khaki cast rather than a bright or saturated green. Slender vertical wave bands run across the surface in a pale beige tone, creating a repeated, elongated rhythm. Their edges are finely scalloped and irregular, giving the motif a tactile, hand-drawn character. A fine, even woven texture is visible through the ground, adding quiet surface interest beneath the more prominent pattern.

How to use it

Use Riverhead Kelp where a room needs a calm, earthy green with movement: it would suit a reading chair, upholstered bench or generous curtains alongside ivory, tan leather and warm wood.

Use the muted kelp-olive ground to bring depth to an upholstered chair or full-height drapery, pairing it with warm ivory and natural timber.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
