About this fabric

The medium-scale check is woven in terracotta and pale cream, with slightly softened edges that keep the geometry relaxed rather than stark. Across the folds, the terracotta reads as a warm clay shade, while the lighter yarns catch the light and add a lightly mottled texture. The fabric drapes into rounded, fluid pleats in the photograph, yet its visible woven surface gives it enough visual substance for upholstery as well as curtains. This is a laid-back colourway with a tactile, country-influenced character.

How to use it

Use Staithes Terracotta on a relaxed armchair, bench or loose cushion, or let its warm clay tone soften a neutral room through full-length curtains. Cream walls, pale timber and aged brass will pick up the lighter checks without competing with the pattern.

Use the warm terracotta check to bring relaxed, tactile colour to seating, cushions or full-length curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
