About this fabric
The close weave creates a small-scale, gently rippled texture rather than a bold motif, giving this colourway quiet visual depth. Its dense-looking surface holds the light in narrow lines across the raised folds, while the recessed areas read almost black. The cloth appears to have a versatile mid-weight character, making it suitable for both upholstery and drapery. No composition, width, rub test or performance feature has been supplied for this exact fabric.
How to use it
Use Valencia Zinc to give a room a cool, grounded foundation on an armchair, sofa or upholstered headboard, pairing its charcoal depth with pale timber, stone and brushed metal. Its fine texture can also add discreet movement to full-length curtains without introducing a strong pattern.
The cool charcoal tone and finely patterned weave bring understated definition to upholstered seating, cushions or softly gathered window treatments.
Pairs well with
Valencia Zinc is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
