Vaquero Slate

Vaquero Fabric

Vaquero Slate is a deep, cool grey textile with a smooth surface and a subtle sheen that becomes visible across its sculpted folds. The plain finish keeps the colour at the centre of the design.

About this fabric

The image shows Vaquero Slate falling in fluid, rounded folds, indicating a soft cloth with an easy drape rather than a structured upholstery weave. Its charcoal-slate tone reads almost black in the deepest creases, while raised areas catch a muted grey glow. The surface is visually even and unpatterned, with gentle tonal variation created by the direction of the folds. This combination of dark colour, smooth texture and restrained lustre gives the fabric a quietly luxurious presence at the window.

How to use it

Hang Vaquero Slate as generous curtains in a room with pale stone, smoked timber or brushed metal, allowing the cool charcoal tone to provide depth. Its soft drape is especially effective in full-length panels where the changing light can pick out the understated sheen.

Use this deep slate grey on full-length curtains where its soft sheen and generous folds can create a quietly luxurious finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
