Haddon Papyrus is a warm papyrus-beige woven damask, patterned with softly contrasting scrolling foliage and stylised floral forms. Its muted tonal contrast lets the dense motif read as texture as well as decoration.

About this fabric

The image shows a warm beige ground with lighter beige foliage, curling stems and ornate floral shapes arranged in a repeating damask pattern. At 430gsm and 75 threads per cm, the cloth has a substantial, closely woven presence suited to upholstery rather than a fine, fluid drape. The 52cm vertical and 70cm horizontal repeats give the medium-scale design a measured rhythm across the 140cm usable width. With a stated standard length of 50m, Haddon Papyrus provides a practical continuous run for planning upholstered panels and seating.

How to use it

Use Haddon Papyrus on an armchair, sofa or headboard where its warm beige tone can soften darker wood and bring a quietly formal finish. Keep surrounding colours restrained so the pale scrolling damask remains visible without losing its muted, tonal character.

Use this warm, low-contrast damask to bring quietly formal texture to upholstered seating.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Haddon Papyrus without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
