About this fabric

Catalogued as a velvet, Kowloon Racing has a dense-looking surface that is well suited to upholstery. The close-up reveals narrow vertical channels and irregular tonal movement through the pile, rather than a printed motif. Its olive green is deep and muted, with darker lines giving the colour a shadowed, layered appearance. As the pile changes direction, selected ridges catch a subdued sheen against the more matt areas.

How to use it

Bring this deep olive colour into a reading chair, footstool or sofa for a grounded, enveloping look. Balance the vertically striated velvet with warm timber, aged brass or softly coloured neutral textiles.
