Rori Tobacco

Fontaine Fabric

Rori Tobacco is a warm, muted textile with a close woven surface that reads as taupe-brown rather than a strong, saturated tobacco. Its fine texture gives the swatch a softly mottled appearance and gentle visual depth.

About this fabric

The fabric is woven in a small, pebbled construction, with tiny irregular variations visible across the surface. Its tobacco tone is softened by taupe and beige threads, creating a warm, earthy colour that remains understated in the light. The compact weave has a matte, tactile character rather than a pronounced sheen, making the colour feel calm and grounded. No composition, width, rub test or performance features were supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Rori Tobacco on an occasional chair, sofa or relaxed curtain where its warm taupe-brown tone can sit alongside cream, stone and natural wood. Darker walnut and aged leather will draw out the deeper tobacco notes in the weave.

Pair this warm tobacco taupe with natural timber, oatmeal linen and softly aged leather for a grounded, quietly layered scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
