Ditchling Olive is a pale, muted olive textile with a softly mottled surface. Fine vertical flecks run through the light ground, giving the colourway a quiet sense of movement rather than a defined motif.

About this fabric

The swatch combines a warm, chalky neutral ground with restrained olive-green and grey flecks, so the overall impression is lighter and softer than a saturated olive. Its close woven texture is visibly irregular, with narrow broken lines creating a subtle vertical grain across the surface. Light catches the raised fibres unevenly, adding gentle depth while keeping the design low contrast. The versatile-looking woven appearance makes this colourway suitable for either upholstery or drapery applications.

How to use it

Use Ditchling Olive to bring a softened botanical note to a neutral room, pairing its pale olive tone with warm whites, natural timber and deeper moss or olive accents. Its fine vertical texture can add understated detail to curtains, occasional seating or larger upholstered pieces.

Use its pale olive cast to soften neutral upholstery, curtains or layered schemes without introducing a strong contrast.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
