Cazenove Wallcovering Cypress

Cazenove Wallcovering Cypress has a subdued olive-taupe ground with delicate horizontal lines running across the surface. Its gently uneven, woodgrain-like appearance gives the colour quiet depth rather than a flat finish.

About this wallpaper

The Cypress colourway sits between soft olive, taupe and weathered green, with darker and lighter threads of tone visible across the face. Fine horizontal striations create a restrained linear rhythm, while small irregular marks keep the surface from looking mechanically uniform. The texture reads as softly fibrous and organic in the photograph, with the muted shade absorbing rather than reflecting strong contrast. Supplied as wallpaper from the Caractre Wallcoverings collection by Zinc Textile, it is catalogued with no performance features noted.

How to use it

Pair this muted olive-taupe wallcovering with warm timber, aged brass and quiet natural neutrals to reinforce its weathered, horizontal grain. It would also sit comfortably behind deeper olive or charcoal furnishings where its softened Cypress tone can provide a calm, textured backdrop.

Use this subdued olive-taupe wallcovering to bring quiet depth and a natural, horizontally layered texture to a room.

Pairs well with

Cazenove Wallcovering Cypress is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
