About Zinc Textile

Zinc Textile was launched in 2010 under the creative leadership of Justin Marr, and takes its cue from the heady heights of 1970s style: seductive, tactile and urban, with fabrics and wallcoverings presented together as coordinated ranges. It collaborated with the Belgian studio Dieter Vander Velpen Architects on a collection that put the textures of cloth against the spatial thinking of architecture.

It is one of the six brands of The Romo Group, which was founded in 1902 and remains family run in its fifth generation, and which received the Queen's Award for Enterprise in 2017 for international trade. Zinc orders go through the Romo head office on Oddicroft Lane in Sutton-in-Ashfield.

This is the one we put in front of somebody who has already seen every book in the room and wants something else. It rewards a simple frame: a bold Zinc texture on a plain modern chair usually beats the same cloth on something ornate.
