About this fabric

The visible surface has a dry, open linen-like texture that keeps the ornate pattern feeling tactile rather than glossy. A tall central flower is framed by curling stems, stylised leaves and paisley forms, all arranged in strong vertical symmetry. Muted emerald and blue-green tones dominate, while pale ivory outlines and lilac-blue petals lift the design against the darker ground. The substantial-looking patterned face makes this a versatile fabric for both upholstery and drapery.

How to use it

Use Boscome Emerald on a statement armchair, headboard or full-length curtains, balancing its cool emerald and blue tones with chalky neutrals, aged wood and brushed metal.

Use the softened emerald ground with pale timber, natural linen and blue-green accents for a layered, collected scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
