About this fabric

The mustard-ochre ground is crossed by branching blue-grey trunks and rounded clusters of olive, moss and muted gold blossoms. Flying mallards add movement across the scene, with teal-green heads, blue wing markings and finely drawn grey, cream and brown feathers. Pale horizontal strokes suggest reflective water and stand out gently against the darker ochre background, while the visible surface has a fine textile grain.
