About this fabric

This textile is defined by alternating vertical bands: broad pale cream and stone-grey areas are threaded with finer slate, blue-grey and darker charcoal lines. The cool darker stripes add depth without overpowering the light ground, while the weave gives the surface a gently tactile, linen-like visual character. The regular direction makes the design feel ordered and smart, with enough tonal variation to avoid looking flat. No composition, width or performance specification has been supplied for this colourway.

How to use it

Use the warm neutral ground as a bridge between pale walls and darker timber, then echo the slate-grey lines in piping, painted furniture or occasional upholstery. The restrained contrast also suits full-length curtains or a coordinated chair where the vertical rhythm can be seen clearly.

The softly contrasting vertical stripes bring quiet structure to upholstered seating, cushions, blinds or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
