Misc Velvet

Cinema Velvet in Rex is a quiet, greyed sage green with a softly brushed velvet surface. The close-up shows subtle vertical shifts in the pile, giving this plain colourway gentle movement rather than a printed pattern.

About this fabric

The Rex colourway reads as a cool, muted green softened by grey, with a calm, earthy character rather than a bright or saturated finish. Its short velvet pile catches the light unevenly across the swatch, creating faint bands of darker and lighter sage. Catalogued as Velvet, it has a visibly substantial, tactile surface that makes it particularly suited to upholstery. No composition, width, rub test or additional performance features have been supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Rex on a curved armchair, sofa or headboard where its grey-sage tone can sit comfortably alongside warm timber, stone, putty and other softened neutrals. Keep surrounding patterns restrained so the changing velvet pile remains the main source of texture.

Use this subdued grey-sage velvet to bring soft colour and tactile depth to an upholstered chair, sofa or headboard.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
