Finch Lichen Fabric

Misc Fabric

Finch Lichen has a quiet, earthy character, combining a muted olive-green ground with rows of tiny pale V-shaped motifs. Its softly mottled surface gives the colourway gentle depth rather than a flat block of green.

About this fabric

The fabric is woven in a lichen-like olive green, with subtle tonal variation visible across the ground. Closely spaced cream V motifs create a fine geometric rhythm, while their uneven, softened edges keep the pattern tactile rather than stark. The dense weave gives the swatch a substantial upholstery appearance, and the restrained contrast makes the overall effect calm and considered.

How to use it

Use Finch Lichen on a reading chair, compact sofa or upholstered headboard where its cool, muted olive tone can sit alongside warm timber, chalky neutrals and natural stone. The small cream motif also works well with layered cushions in oat, mushroom or soft sage.

A dense textured weave with a small cream chevron motif, well suited to upholstered seating and occasional chairs.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Finch Lichen Fabric without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
