Buta Sage

Indira Fabrics FabricCCF0847-03

Buta Sage is a softly coloured textile with a pale sage ground and closely spaced ivory scrolling buta motifs. Its fine surface texture gives the light, chalky colourway subtle depth rather than strong contrast.

About this fabric

The small, curling motifs form an even all-over pattern, with ivory details standing gently against the muted sage background. At 252 gsm and 137 cm wide, this mid-weight fabric is suitable for both upholstery and drapery applications. The pattern repeats every 17.1 cm vertically and 34.3 cm horizontally, making the design easy to read across a broad surface. With 38 threads per centimetre, the cloth has a fine, closely built appearance that supports its neat, smart character.

How to use it

Use Buta Sage to lighten a reading chair, headboard or pair of cushions, or carry its cool, pale tone into relaxed curtains. Pair it with warm ivory, bleached timber and soft grey-green accents so the tiny pattern remains delicate rather than busy.

A pale sage and ivory small-scale textile that brings quiet pattern to upholstery, cushions or softly tailored curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Buta Sage without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
