About this fabric

The pale ground is scattered with small botanical sprigs in muted denim blue, teal, leafy green and warm tan, giving this colourway a cool yet softly earthy appearance. At 224 gsm, the fabric has a versatile mid-weight handle suited to both upholstery and drapery applications. Its 137 cm usable width gives practical coverage, while the 31.5 cm vertical and 34 cm horizontal repeats keep the motifs evenly spaced across the surface. The contrast between the light ground and deeper blue-green marks makes the pattern readable without becoming visually heavy.

How to use it

Use Leiden Denim to brighten a reading chair, roman blind or relaxed pair of curtains, setting its pale ground against natural wood and introducing muted sage or teal through cushions and accessories.

Pair the cool denim-blue sprigs with pale woods, natural linens and soft green accents for a fresh, collected scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Leiden Denim without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
