About this fabric

Lucienne Charcoal/Linen is a 204gsm textile with a usable width of 138cm and a standard length of 40 metres. The visible design is densely filled with outlined and shaded flowers, leaves and curling stems in layered charcoal-grey tones over a pale linen-coloured ground. Its 65cm vertical repeat and 69cm horizontal repeat give the botanical layout a defined, regularly repeating rhythm. The restrained charcoal-and-linen contrast keeps the detailed vintage pattern muted rather than brightly coloured.

How to use it

Use this cool charcoal-and-linen colourway on occasional upholstery, cushions or relaxed curtains where its detailed floral drawing can sit alongside pale woods, chalky walls and softly weathered furniture.

Pair the intricate charcoal botanical print with warm timber, pale upholstery and softly aged finishes.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Lucienne Charcoal/Linen without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
