Brahmane Wallpaper Laurier

Papierspeints Vol 8 Wallpaper03117-04

Brahmane Wallpaper Laurier layers an airy ivory ground with finely drawn branches, curling foliage and abundant flowers in soft sage, coral pink, muted yellow and taupe. The large-scale composition has the character of a traditional botanical document, while the pale background keeps the colourway light.

About this fabric

This 100% non-woven wallpaper is illustrated with branching stems, feathery green leaves, paisley-like forms and oversized blooms, including a prominent striped coral-pink flower and rounded flowers in ivory, blush and mustard yellow. The Laurier colourway is gently muted rather than bright: sage greens and weathered taupe branches sit against the cool ivory ground, with coral and dusty pink providing the strongest accents. The vertical repeat is 69cm with a half drop, and the horizontal repeat is approximately 68.5cm. Its detailed, formal pattern is best appreciated across a generous wall area where the changing flowers and foliage can unfold.

How to use it

Use this pale, garden-inspired colourway in a dining room, bedroom or reading space with warm timber, ivory linen and restrained sage accents. Coral-pink accessories can pick up the larger striped bloom without competing with the wallpaper’s fine botanical detail.

Pair the pale ivory ground with natural timber and soft green upholstery to balance the wallpaper’s richly coloured botanical composition.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
