Timber

Malabar Two Fold Carpet

Timber is a warm taupe-beige carpet with a softly mottled, earthy appearance. The close loop surface creates fine vertical movement, giving the colour gentle depth rather than a flat block of brown.

About this carpet

Catalogued as a Wool Loop carpet, Timber has a dense-looking surface of small, tightly formed loops. Its warm taupe-beige tone shifts subtly between sandy beige and muted brown across the pile, while the narrow vertical lines add quiet definition. The textured loops catch the light unevenly, creating a tactile, softly irregular finish. As a carpet, this colourway brings a grounded, relaxed quality to the room without introducing a pronounced motif.

How to use it

Use Timber with natural oak, warm stone and off-white upholstery to emphasise its sandy taupe warmth. Its softly striated loop texture also sits comfortably alongside linen, boucle and other tactile neutral furnishings.

Use this warm taupe loop texture to bring an earthy, quietly layered finish to upholstered seating.

Pairs well with

Timber is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
