Sepia

Pimlico Carpet

Sepia is a softly mottled taupe-brown carpet with a distinctly warm, earthy cast. Its surface is made up of closely packed, miniature loops that give the colour gentle depth rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

This Wool Loop carpet combines muted sepia, brown and grey-beige notes in a tightly ordered, low-relief texture. The small loops create a subtly pebbled appearance, while the even pile gives the swatch a calm, tailored rhythm. Under light, the warm brown fibres shift lightly against the greyer strands, keeping the colour grounded and softly dimensional. As a carpet from Cormar’s Pimlico collection, it presents a relaxed, natural-looking finish rather than a smooth or formal surface.

How to use it

Use Sepia as a warm, quiet foundation with cream upholstery, tobacco leather and weathered timber. Its taupe-brown depth also sits comfortably beside olive, clay and other softened earthy shades.

The warm sepia-taupe tone and dense loop texture bring understated depth to upholstery-led schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
