Volcanic Ash

Pimlico Carpet

Volcanic Ash has a cool ash-grey appearance, enlivened by the close, raised loops visible across its surface. Its fine tonal shifts give the plain-looking ground quiet depth rather than a flat block of colour.

About this carpet

This Wool Loop carpet is woven in a dense field of small, closely packed loops, creating the softly nubby texture visible in the swatch. The Volcanic Ash colourway sits in a cool mid-grey range, with pale and charcoal flecks that create a gently mottled finish. Light catches the rounded loops unevenly, adding subtle movement while keeping the overall impression restrained. As a catalogued Carpet, it has a grounded, tactile presence well suited to upholstery-led schemes.

How to use it

Pair Volcanic Ash with chalky whites, charcoal accents and cool timber tones for a composed, modern room. Its understated ash-grey depth can also soften stronger patterned upholstery without competing with it.

A quietly mottled ash-grey texture for calm, tonal schemes and tailored upholstered pieces.

Pairs well with

Volcanic Ash is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.
