Woodstar Tropical brings scattered hummingbirds to a warm taupe-beige ground, with turquoise, coral, navy and muted olive details creating a lively but softened colourway. The fine woven surface remains visible between the motifs, giving the design a tactile textile quality.

About this fabric

The warm taupe-beige background gives this colourway a quieter, earthy base, while the hummingbirds add concentrated flashes of turquoise, coral, navy and olive as they hover across the cloth. Their fine wings, long beaks and layered feather colours are clearly defined against the plain ground, with some motifs cropped at the selvedge-like edges of the pictured repeat. A subtle woven texture can be seen throughout the 250gsm fabric, adding depth without competing with the printed bird detail. With a 137cm usable width and a 48cm vertical by 65cm horizontal pattern repeat, the spacing allows the individual birds to remain distinct across upholstery or drapery applications.

How to use it

Pair this warm taupe colourway with natural timber, woven textures and soft cream upholstery, then echo the turquoise or coral in small cushions or painted accents. Its muted ground can also temper the brighter bird colours when used as relaxed curtains.
