Orion Noir

Equinox 2 Fabric FabricCCF0679-04

Orion Noir pairs a pale taupe ground with densely scattered charcoal-black marks, creating a cool, layered surface with the depth of a substantial upholstery cloth. Its finely broken texture reads as softly mottled rather than boldly patterned.

About this fabric

The colourway is built from oatmeal-taupe and near-black tones, with irregular flecks and short horizontal traces distributed across the surface. This close-scale texture gives the fabric a quietly graphic appearance, while the dark marks add definition without forming a dominant motif. At 584gsm, Orion Noir is a notably substantial textile suited to upholstery applications. It has a 138cm usable width, a 40.5cm vertical repeat and a 35cm horizontal repeat; the standard length is 40m.

How to use it

Use Orion Noir on a structured sofa, dining chair or occasional chair where its charcoal detail can sharpen warm neutral walls and timber. The cool taupe base also works well with black metal, smoked wood and restrained monochrome accents.

Use this weighty taupe-and-charcoal texture to bring quiet contrast to tailored upholstery and contemporary neutral schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
