Orion Spice

Equinox 2 Fabric FabricCCF0679-05

Orion Spice has a richly warm spice-brown ground, broken up by fine cream and ochre flecks across its closely woven surface. The irregular, tactile texture gives the colourway a softly weathered depth rather than a flat block of colour.

About this fabric

This substantial 584gsm fabric is well suited to upholstery, with a dense woven handle visible in the closely packed horizontal and vertical texture. Warm cinnamon, rust and caramel notes are interlaced with lighter cream threads, creating a softly mottled appearance that changes subtly as the light catches the weave. The design has a 40.5cm vertical repeat and a 35cm horizontal repeat, despite its small-scale broken motif. With a usable width of 138cm and a standard length of 40m, Orion Spice is practical for coordinated upholstery projects.

How to use it

Use Orion Spice on a sofa, headboard or occasional chair where its warm brown spice tone can anchor cream, natural linen, walnut and aged brass accents. Its finely mottled surface is especially effective when paired with plain textiles in oatmeal or soft ivory.

Use this weighty, warm-toned weave to bring depth and tactile interest to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
