About this fabric

This chenille combines a taupe-grey base with irregular charcoal-grey botanical shapes, creating a large-scale pattern with visible tonal depth. The woven surface has a softly nubby chenille texture, with the raised darker areas catching the light differently from the flatter ground. Made from 100% polyester and measuring 138cm wide, it is classified as domestic upholstery fabric. It is machine washable and supplied with Domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy, with treatment available to achieve Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

The cool, muted taupe-grey tone suits contemporary sofas, occasional chairs and headboards, especially alongside warm timber, stone and charcoal accessories. Keep surrounding patterns restrained so the large abstract foliage remains the room's principal texture.

Use this muted taupe-grey chenille on a sofa or armchair, with charcoal accents to pick up the darker woven motifs.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
