Mersey Sundown

#AB8380 is a soft, warm neutral with enough brown in it to keep the pink from feeling sweet or obvious. On walls it reads as a calm dusky beige-rose, taking light down a little and giving a room a settled, lived-in feel. In a north-facing room it can look more muted and earthy, with the cooler light drawing out its grey-brown side; in south-facing light it feels warmer, rosier and slightly more enveloping. It works well beside oak, walnut and painted woodwork in off-white, stone or deeper brown tones, and it gives a steady backdrop to upholstery in linen, velvet or patterned curtains.

Use it in sitting rooms, bedrooms or dining rooms where you want warmth without a yellow tone. It suits natural woodwork, aged brass and upholstered pieces in cream, rust, olive or deep navy.
