About this colour

This shade reads as a soft, creamy white with just enough warmth to keep it from feeling blue or clinical. On a wall it reflects a lot of light, but the slight yellow undertone stops it from feeling harsh, so it can brighten a room while still feeling settled. In a north-facing room it will look a little cooler and more restrained, though still creamier than a bright white; in south-facing light it comes across warmer and more open, with the pale yellow note becoming more noticeable. It works well beside natural oak, painted joinery and pale stone, and it gives upholstered pieces in greys, sage greens, muted blues or biscuit tones a clean backdrop.

How to use it

Use it in living rooms, bedrooms or hallways where you want a light wall colour that is softer than white. It suits painted woodwork, and it sits neatly beside linen, velvet or wool upholstery in calm neutral shades.

A very pale warm white that keeps a room feeling light without the sharpness of a pure white.
