About this colour

In #A07970, Mrs. Bouquet reads as a warm, grounded neutral with a muted blush-brown cast. On walls it absorbs more light than a pale beige, so it will feel cosy rather than airy, but it is not heavy or muddy. In a north-facing room it can look deeper and cooler, with the rose notes held back and the brown base becoming more obvious. In south-facing light it opens out, showing more warmth and a gentle softness that works well beside oak, walnut, linen, boucle and other muted natural tones. In Flat Matt it will look calm and even; in Eggshell or Soft Sheen the same colour will feel a little more reflective on woodwork or cabinetry.

How to use it

This shade suits sitting rooms, bedrooms and hallways where you want a quiet backdrop for upholstered chairs, curtains and cushions in oatmeal, tobacco, moss or faded rose. It also works neatly on skirting, panelling or joinery beside dark timber and brass details.

A warm, muted neutral like this gives a wall a settled, rose-brown tone without feeling pink.
