Calatrava Terracotta

Fabrics Fabric131

Calatrava Terracotta has a warm, earthen rust tone and a closely woven surface that reads as richly tactile in the light. Its tiny, repeated woven detail gives the plain colour subtle depth rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

The fabric is visibly built from a dense micro-texture, with small interlocking loops or flecks creating gentle tonal variation across the terracotta ground. The shade sits between burnt rust and reddish brown, giving it a grounded warmth without appearing bright or saturated. Its substantial-looking woven structure makes it best suited to upholstery rather than delicate, fluid drapery. No composition, width, rub test or other performance specification has been supplied for this colourway.

How to use it

Use Calatrava Terracotta on a compact armchair, dining seat or tailored sofa where its warm rust tone can anchor an otherwise pale room. Pair it with chalky neutrals, dark timber and aged brass to bring out the weave’s earthy depth.

Use this warm, finely textured terracotta weave to bring depth to tailored upholstery and contrast pale natural finishes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
