About this fabric

The colour sits between dark brown and softened charcoal, reading muted rather than strongly warm or cool. Its fine vertical weave is visible across the swatch as delicate tonal lines, while the surface remains predominantly matte and even. There is no visible motif or contrast pattern, making the texture and depth of this particular taupe the defining detail. The dense-looking cloth has the visual weight to work across both upholstery and drapery applications.

How to use it

Use Lapis Taupe to give a room a grounded, tailored base: it works particularly well on clean-lined upholstery, or as understated curtains where its charcoal-brown tone can soften brighter walls and timber.
