Sibilla Outremer

Fire-retardant Fabric012

Sibilla Outremer appears as a deep, near-blackened blue across the swatch, with a quiet woven surface rather than a printed motif. Fine horizontal irregularities and faint tonal shifts keep the broad field from looking flat.

About this fabric

The dark Outremer colour reads as a cool, inky navy, with enough depth to approach charcoal in the softer areas of the swatch. Its restrained horizontal weave gives the surface a gently tactile, lightly weathered character while keeping the design visually plain. Sibilla is catalogued as a Fabric in Dedar’s Fire-retardant collection; no further composition, width or performance figures are supplied.

How to use it

Use this cool, saturated navy on a statement armchair, sofa or simple curtain, balancing its depth with chalky walls, natural oak and brushed metal. The almost-black blue also suits layered tonal schemes with denim, slate and soft grey.

Use the inky navy tone to anchor seating, cushions or softly tailored window treatments alongside warm timber and pale neutrals.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
