Squared Petrole is a deep petrol-teal textile with a strongly tactile, linear surface. Its pattern is formed from nested square outlines that create a maze-like geometric rhythm across the cloth.

About this fabric

The colour reads as cool and saturated, shifting between blue-green teal and darker petrol where the stepped lines overlap. A softly brushed, uneven surface catches the light across the vertical weave, giving the geometric motif a slightly atmospheric edge rather than a hard printed finish. The repeated squared forms are medium in scale and clearly visible in this close-up, with lighter turquoise threads adding depth to the darker ground. This fabric is catalogued in Dedar’s Fire-retardant collection; no composition, width, rub-test or other further specification data has been supplied.

How to use it

Use Squared Petrole on a statement armchair, headboard or occasional sofa where its cool blue-green depth and maze-like geometry can act as the room’s focal texture. Pair it with smoked wood, dark metal and quieter grey-blue or mineral neutrals.

Use this deep petrol teal to bring graphic structure and cool, atmospheric colour to upholstered seating.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Squared Petrole without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
