Lilaz Lava

Upholstery fabrics Fabric005

Lilaz Lava pairs a pale lilac-toned woven ground with sweeping charcoal-black forms that resemble layered, irregular lava flows. The close view shows a fine vertical rib running through the cloth, giving the pattern added surface definition.

About this fabric

The light ground reads as a softly muted lilac-grey, while the deep charcoal motifs create strong contrast across the swatch. Broad, scalloped brush-like shapes overlap and break apart irregularly, so the design feels graphic rather than geometric. Its visibly textured woven surface adds a tactile, slightly raised-looking quality to the colourway. No composition, width, rub test or performance features have been supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Lilaz Lava on a statement chair, headboard or compact sofa where its cool lilac ground can sit alongside stone, chalk and charcoal tones. Keep surrounding patterns restrained so the large dark brushwork remains the room’s defining detail.

A pale lilac-toned woven ground with bold charcoal brushwork, suited to statement upholstery with quieter surrounding finishes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
