About this fabric

The colour reads as a muted, blue-leaning grey rather than a warm brown-grey, with darker threads adding definition across the face. Its compact woven structure creates a fine crosshatched texture that is visible throughout the swatch. Subtle shifts between slate, charcoal and pale grey catch the light unevenly, preventing the surface from looking flat. The restrained tonal variation gives this colourway a composed, tailored character for upholstered furniture.

How to use it

Pair Noricum Ardesia with chalky whites, smoked timber and brushed metal for a cool, quietly architectural scheme. Its slate-grey depth also works well against warmer taupe or natural oak accents.

Use this cool slate-grey weave on tailored seating where its fine tonal texture can add depth without introducing a separate motif.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
