Upholstery fabrics Fabric012

Queneau Notte is a dense-looking plain textile in an exceptionally deep navy. In the swatch, the blue sits close to black, with only a restrained surface texture visible across the face.

About this fabric

The colour is cool, saturated and inky rather than soft or greyed, giving the cloth a strongly grounded presence. Its face appears largely uniform, with a very fine texture that prevents the navy from looking completely flat as the light shifts across it. No pattern, performance feature or further specification is supplied for this exact fabric. The dark tone is especially suited to upholstery where a deep, tailored colour is wanted.

How to use it

Use Queneau Notte on a sofa, armchair or dining seat to introduce near-black navy depth without moving into true black. Pair it with pale timber, warm neutrals or brushed metal so the cool blue remains the room’s defining note.

A deep, near-black navy with a quiet surface that brings tailored depth to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
