Arran FR Charcoal

Alderney Fabric

Arran FR Charcoal has a tightly woven, tonal grey surface that reads as clean and understated rather than flat. The close weave gives the charcoal shade a subtle, speckled depth across the cloth.

About this fabric

This 100% polyester fabric comes in a practical 140cm width and has a pattern repeat of 0cm, making the finish appear simple and continuous. The charcoal colourway is a cool, mid-to-dark grey with lighter highlights catching on the raised weave, so the surface feels slightly mottled and lively rather than solid. Its compact texture gives it enough body for upholstery, while still working well for curtains where a neat, tailored look is wanted. Care code NQT1< should be followed as supplied.

How to use it

Use this charcoal shade to ground pale walls, brushed metal, and oak finishes, or to sharpen a scheme with clean lines. It is especially effective on sofas, dining chairs, and simple curtains where the woven texture can be seen up close.

A versatile dark grey with a crisp woven texture that works neatly across modern seating and curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
