Peru Dove

Digital Prints Fabric

Peru Dove has a softly weathered grey ground that lets the ikat-style motifs sit quietly across the surface. The pale creams, taupes and muted golds give the design an easy, understated rhythm.

About this fabric

Woven in a 145cm width, Peru Dove is composed of 50% viscose, 26% linen and 24% polyester, giving the cloth a natural-looking body with a softly refined handle. The large 64cm vertical by 68cm horizontal repeat creates a confident ikat pattern with plenty of scale, while the visible weave keeps the surface from looking flat. On this colourway, the dove-grey background feels cool and calm, with the motif picked out in misty ivory, stone and faded ochre. It reads as a relaxed fabric with enough substance for curtains and light upholstery applications alike, depending on the make-up of the finished piece.

How to use it

Use Peru Dove where you want pattern without harsh contrast: it works especially well with pale oak, plaster pinks and chalky neutrals. The subdued grey base also keeps the larger ikat forms feeling tailored rather than bohemian.

The muted dove-grey ground and gentle ikat motifs suit easy, layered interiors.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Peru Dove without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
