Cora Charcoal

Florentina Fabric

Cora Charcoal shows a classic damask motif in a muted charcoal-brown palette, with the pattern sitting clearly against a lighter ground. The woven surface gives it a tailored, softly textured look.

About this fabric

This Cora Charcoal colourway from the Florentina collection by Fryett's Fabrics is woven in 74% polyester and 26% viscose, with a 140cm width and a 19.5cm vertical by 13.5cm horizontal pattern repeat. The design reads as a traditional damask, but the charcoal detailing keeps it grounded and less formal than a brighter contrast would. In the image, the ground appears warm beige-grey while the motif is a deep, slightly softened charcoal brown, giving the fabric a dry, cloth-like texture rather than a glossy finish. AQW1< care instructions indicate a practical upholstery-and-curtain fabric suitable for everyday interior use.

How to use it

Use it on upholstered dining chairs, a bedroom headboard or tailored curtains where the subdued charcoal pattern can add structure without overwhelming the room. It works especially well with weathered oak, stone, and oatmeal fabrics.

Layer with warm neutrals or deep wood tones to let the damask read crisp and tailored.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
