About this fabric

This fabric is woven in a 55% viscose, 25% cotton and 20% polyester blend, and it measures 145cm wide with a 47cm vertical and 35.5cm horizontal pattern repeat. The charcoal background has a lightly striated, textured look that gives the surface depth without feeling heavy. Across it, the stylised fern or olive-leaf motifs alternate in muted cream, warm ochre and taupe-gold, creating a pattern that reads crisp but not glossy. The overall effect is smart and grounded, with enough variation in the leaf colours to keep the design lively against the dark base.

How to use it

Use Ancona Charcoal to add a tailored, botanical note to occasional upholstery, curtains or a statement armchair. Its dark ground and warm leaf tones sit especially well with oak, walnut, brass and natural linen.

Pairs well with warm wood, pale linen and brass accents.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Ancona Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
