Bordeaux Duck Egg

Misc Fabric

Bordeaux Duck Egg pairs a soft, pale ground with bold stylised floral motifs in teal, mustard and taupe. The design feels fresh but grounded, with the pattern standing out crisply against the lightly textured base.

About this fabric

Woven in a 44% Poly 31% Vis 25% Cotton blend, this Porter & Stone fabric has a balanced handle that suits curtains, blinds and lighter upholstery use. The 140cm width and 43cm pattern repeat make the large-scale floral layout practical for furnishing projects where the motif needs to sit clearly. Visually, the duck egg colourway reads more as a creamy, cool-toned neutral than a saturated blue, which keeps the turquoise and mustard elements lively without becoming harsh. The printed-style floral forms have a slightly vintage character, while the taupe stems and pale ground soften the overall effect. Care instructions are NQT1<.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want pattern without heaviness: it works well against oak, linen and painted finishes in chalky off-whites. The cool duck egg ground also lifts darker accents, letting the teal and mustard motif become the room’s colour focus.

Pair the soft duck egg ground with pale woods and brass for a fresh, tailored look.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
