Porter & Stone

Bordeaux Charcoal

Misc Fabric

Bordeaux Charcoal is a softly textured floral fabric with a stone ground and layered leaf-and-petal motifs in charcoal, taupe and muted olive. The darker bloom details give the design a tailored, slightly moody feel.

About this fabric

This fabric is from Porter & Stone’s Misc collection and is supplied as a 140cm-wide textile with a 43cm pattern repeat. Its composition is 44% Poly, 31% Vis and 25% Cotton, with care instructions NQT1<. Visually, the ground reads as a warm stone neutral, while the repeated floral motif alternates between pale mushroom tones and deeper charcoal heads for a gentle contrast. The surface has a woven, linen-like appearance that softens the print and keeps the overall effect grounded rather than glossy.

How to use it

Use this colourway on occasional chairs, dining seats or cushions where the charcoal motif can sharpen a pale interior. It also works well with oak, warm greys and aged brass, letting the stone background keep the scheme light.

A refined neutral floral with dark charcoal accents that adds pattern without overwhelming a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
