Gingko Dove

Misc Fabric

Gingko Dove shows a dense scatter of stylised gingko leaves in layered dove and charcoal greys over a pale neutral ground. The overall effect is cool and refined, with the motif creating plenty of movement without feeling busy.

About this fabric

This Porter & Stone fabric is 137cm wide and composed of 91% polyester and 9% cotton, giving the design a practical woven handle for everyday interior use. The 35.5cm pattern repeat allows the overlapping gingko forms to read clearly, with each leaf showing a soft, feathery edge and a shaded centre that gives the print a brushed, almost pencilled texture. In this colourway, the grey tones sit on the cooler side, balanced by the warm beige ground so the pattern feels calm rather than stark. The medium-scale motif has enough presence for statement upholstery or curtains, while the lack of harsh contrast keeps it versatile.

How to use it

Use Gingko Dove where you want pattern with restraint: it works well on an accent chair, roman blind, or cushions against oak, stone, or painted whites. The soft grey palette also sits neatly with other cool neutrals and brushed metal finishes.

A cool, layered grey that brings quiet movement to upholstered pieces and soft furnishings.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Gingko Dove without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
