Monmouth FR Smoke

Monmouth FR Fabric

Monmouth FR Smoke has a finely textured woven surface in a cool smoky taupe grey, with subtle flecks of beige and charcoal shifting across the cloth. The overall effect is restrained and modern, with just enough movement in the weave to keep the colourway from reading flat.

About this fabric

This colourway shows a compact, basket-like texture with a low, even surface and no pattern repeat, so the interest comes from the weave and the variegated yarns rather than a printed motif. The 100% polyester composition gives it a practical textile profile, while the 140cm width makes it straightforward for upholstery projects and coordinated schemes. Smoke sits in a grounded grey family, softened by brown and stone notes that lift it away from a hard industrial grey. It feels smart and understated in the sample, with the darker threads settling the tone and the paler yarns catching the light.

How to use it

Use this smoky neutral on a sofa, headboard or dining chairs where you want texture without a strong colour statement. It pairs naturally with pale woods, chalky wall colours and deeper charcoal accents.

A muted smoky neutral that works well on tailored seating and quiet accent pieces.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
