Elysian Teal

Plains & Semi Plains Fabric

Elysian Teal has a soft, striated surface that reads as a muted teal with greyed, sandy undertones. The finish feels quietly textured rather than bold, giving the cloth a calm, lived-in look.

About this fabric

This fabric from Fryett's Plains & Semi Plains is composed of 65% polyester and 35% cotton and measures 137cm wide, with no pattern repeat. The weave shows fine horizontal slubbing that breaks up the colour, so the teal sits under a veil of stone and driftwood tones rather than appearing flat. In the photo, the shade looks cool and subdued, with occasional darker teal threads adding depth across the surface. That balanced composition and understated texture make it a versatile plain for everyday interiors.

How to use it

Pair this muted teal with pale oak, chalk white or warm grey to keep the room light and grounded. It works especially well on upholstered chairs, cushions or full-length curtains where the subtle strie can be seen across larger surfaces.

Use for relaxed upholstery or soft drapes where you want a calm, weathered teal tone.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
